KEGIATAN PENELITIAN SEBAGI USAHA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME GURU MATEMATIKA

Research is an activity to gain knowledge called science, done by a certain procedure which is systematic and is supported by a methodology which is an assessment of the rules in his method. As an innovative mathematics teacher is required to always do the discussion on how we gain knowledge about the learning of mathematics in accordance with current trends. Our knowledge of the desired aspects of learning mathematics as a knowledge of a scientific nature is an understanding of the workings of the mind of individual students in learning mathematics, how to gain an understanding of aspects arkitektural learning and how teachers understand that there are analogies between the knowledge of students, teachers and knowledge practitioner knowledge about learning mathematics. A description of the phenomena occurring in the process of learning mathematics as a description of truth, requires empirical measures that are rational for the theory of ideals of truth and practice learning in mathematics. Such knowledge in the end both ontologically and formally legally can increase the professionalism of teachers in the field of mathematics education. If we want teachers of mathematics education reform the mathematics education research will become a necessity. mathematics education research activities by teachers, lecturers as well as by prospective teachers will give many benefits. With the study of mathematics education we can know the existence of differences in individuals or groups to study the mathematics, we can determine the position of students in the group, can compare learning outcomes between groups. We can also do a match between objectives and results of learning outcomes: whether the standard of competence or basic competence has been achieved. Research results can also be used for refining the program, mentoring, provision of information to the public.
